2025 Highlights
In 2025, MCD focused on community-driven priorities and worked to protect essential supports.
Key outcomes included:
- A state budget passed that preserved funding for disability services.
- A bonding bill included infrastructure investments, including accessible playgrounds.
- New eligibility for e-bike rebates expanded mobility options for people with disabilities.
- New workgroups and task forces were established on special education costs and waiver-related reforms.
The session also included human services cuts tied to a projected long-term structural deficit. MCD worked throughout the session to reduce the severity of cuts and protect essential supports for people with disabilities.
