In advance of the 2013 Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference on February 12-13 at the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel, we offer a reminder that your travel-related or lodging business can reap rewards if you welcome people with disabilities. Making your hotel, cabin, lodge, or campground accessible to a growing number of people with disposable income is a profitable proposition!

Vikings stadium planning meetings slated for Rochester and Duluth
The Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority have scheduled two out-state public meetings so that you can meet representatives from HKS Sports & Entertainment Group, the architectural firm selected to design the State’s new multi-purpose stadium. This is your chance to request that the new stadium be as accessible as possible.
Know your rights on Election Day
Inclusion in society for people with disabilities also means a right to participation in political and public life. This includes the right to vote. With that in mind, we thought it important to share the Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities’ pointers to make sure that everyone’s experience at the polls goes as smoothly as possible.
Input needed at Vikings Stadium Public Hearing on Oct. 15
Whether you are a Vikings fan or not, this stadium will be a multipurpose stadium and we should expect that it be fully accessible and clearly exceed minimum standards. It has often been called the People’s Stadium – let’s make sure it can be used and enjoyed by all the people! Help us send a strong message to the stakeholders of this event by attending this public meeting & signing up for the public comment period.
