Minnesota Council on Disability (MCD), in partnership with the Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities, previewed the 2021 Legislative Session. MCD brought together the Disability Community, Elected Officials, Public Policy Decision Makers, and Disability Organizations.

Virtual Town Hall on Blue Ribbon Commission & People with Disabilities
Join the Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities and the Minnesota Council on Disability for a virtual town hall forum about the Blue Ribbon Commission on Health & Human Services. The Blue Ribbon Commission was set up by the legislature to find ways to save $100 million in health care, services, and supports. They are also try to make systems easier and less complicated and promote health equity.
Legislative Forum on Disability
The Minnesota Council on Disability is excited to announce that Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan will be providing the welcoming address to the upcoming Legislative Forum on Disability. The Legislative Forum provides an opportunity for advocates and other disability stakeholders who develop, design, advocate for, and implement disability-related public policy to interact with lawmakers directly.
State Fair Wrap-Up
And … it’s a wrap! The Minnesota State Fair 2019 saw record attendance, and we had many visitors at the Minnesota Council on Disability (MCD) booth! Some of them are pictured in our blog post!
Read & Ride Day at the Minnesota State Fair
Wednesday, August 28 is Read & Ride Day at the Fair. Guests with a valid public library card receive discounted admission prices. Visit the stage shows and join the family fun at Dan Patch Park. Remember, the Minnesota State Fair is committed to providing equal access and a pleasant experience for all guests. Accessibility services are offered to ensure that the Great Minnesota Get-Together is for Everyone.
