Bloomington Human Rights Commission
The Bloomington Human Rights Commission is hosting a celebration for the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 23, 2015 at 6:00 P.M.
This celebration will include a special video* produced by the Minnesota State Council on Disability and Twin Cities Public Television (TPT), et al., which highlights history of the ADA in Minnesota, followed by a program of local disability advocates in the community who will reflect on the past and look to the future.
U.S. District Judge Donovan Frank, an advocate of the ADA will be part of the program.
*This video is funded in part by a grant from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. The Minnesota Historical and Cultural Grants Program is made possible by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the vote of Minnesotans on November 4, 2008.
Minneapolis
To honor the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Minneapolis is hosting a celebration on Thursday, July 23 from noon – 3:00 P.M. in the Minneapolis City Hall Rotunda.
The event will feature speakers, recognition, performers and interactive programming. More information can be found on the Minneapolis website.
