The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) was signed by the United States in 2009, but it has not yet been ratified by the US Senate. The CRPD would not require any additional law or spending changes. Instead, it would spread many of the rights put forth in the ADA to people around the world.
