Living with a Disability as a Latine in MN

April 26, 2023

Your voice matters! Participate in our focus group and get a $25 Amazon gift card!

The Hispanic Advocacy and Community Empowerment through Research (HACER MN) is inviting Latin Americans/Latinos who identify as disabled living in Southeast MN Counties (Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, and Winona) as well as their caregivers and family members to participate in a focus group to understand the barriers and challenges they face to achieve an independent life. Participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card.

This is a joint project with Southeastern Minnesota Center for Independent Living (SEMCIL) that aims to identify the unmet needs of Latines with disabilities in SE MN that prevent them from achieving a full and independent life.

The information you provide during the focus group sessions will help SEMCIL customize available resources to the Latine community living with a disability as well as support their specific needs. If you wish to participate, please register.
