Scope
This accessibility statement covers all digital content published on the Minnesota Council on Disability (MCD) website (disability.state.mn.us). It also applies to MCD videos, documents, and social media hosted on YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter).
NOTE: Some of the resources we link to—such as external websites, documents, or multimedia—are not maintained by MCD and may not meet our accessibility standards.
Our Commitment
MCD is committed to providing digital information and communications that everyone can use. We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA—to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and relevant Minnesota statutes.
Accessibility Measures
To keep our content accessible, we:
- Run automated scans and manual website reviews.
- Review and remediate documents, multimedia, and other files published to the website.
- Train staff on accessible content creation.
- Include accessibility requirements in our procurement contracts.
