In 2023, the employment rate for people with disabilities was just 22.5%, compared to 65.8% for people without disabilities. The unemployment rate for people with disabilities was 7.2%, more than double the 3.5% rate for those without disabilities (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). One way to address this disparity is for employers to provide accommodations to their employees. A study from the Job Accommodation Network (PDF) found that the typical cost of an accommodation is just $500.
